Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actress who was famous in the role of Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales as well as the short-lived NBC show with the same title; Erica Paget in Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. An native CalifornianSwanson developed an interest in acting when she was a child. She began her acting career as an actor in commercials. She made her screen debut in an episode on NBCs comedy sitcom, It's Your Time in 1984. In 1986, she made her debut on an edgy romantic comedy titled Pretty in Pink. Her most famous feature is the blonde hairlisp and breathless voice she uses. In recent years she has moved on to performing in the role of secondary characters. In 1989she was awarded the Young Artist Award for Best Young Actress in a Horror or Mystery Motion Picture for Flowers in the Attic.
