Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to get a flawless score of 10 in an Olympic event. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics coach when she was only six years old. The first time she competed was at the national junior championships where she placed 13th in the year 1969. In 1970, she was crowned champion. In her very first international competition in 1972, she came out on top with three gold medals. In 1975, she took home four golds and one silver at her first senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European champion. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first woman in history to complete the backward double salto in an unmounting from uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Carol Wayne's journey into the realm of entertainment began as a teenager. With her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined the traveling entertainment show that were known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer during her teenage years. She started her career as a figure skater performing with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. These shows were ice skating events which included stage performances.
